What you should Bring to Whitewater Kayak Instruction and River Trips:

• Bathing Suit & Towel
• If the forecast is for particularly chilly weather or if it is early and the water is
still cold, we recommend a pair of synthetic thermal (polypro) underware for under your
wetsuit. You can wear water shorts over polypro and you will be river chic. No kidding!
• Water shoes - neoprene diving booties, aqua socks, or water sandals. NO flip flops, or
shoes that slip off easily, of have dangling ties/straps.
• (Optional) Nose plugs, if you hate water getting up your nose. We will have some
available for sale.
• A couple of bottles of water. It is important to keep hydrated.
• A packed lunch. We will provide a dry bag to put it in for river trips.
• (Optional) If you like a little snack between meals, we suggest an energy bar or two
that you can carry on the water. Remember, you will be burning a lot of calories.
• (Optional) Sunscreen. Remember, you will be outside all day and we hope it will be sunny!
• Personal items such as medication.
• (Optional) Something to slip on over your paddling clothing while you are having lunch
such as a fleece or windbreaker.
• (Optional) A baseball cap for an eye shade, to wear under your helmet (that we provide).
• WAIVER (links on left) - Please print, read and sign the waiver
and bring it to the class or river trip.

What we Provide:

• Boat, paddle, sprayskirt, helmet, pfd (Personal Floatation Device)
• A farmer John wetsuit (neoprene bib overall shorts) which will
go over your polypro top, if you bring one.
• Nose plugs for sale
NOTE: If you bring your own boat and necessary gear, you will receive a $10. discount.
